The mission of Special Equestrians of Georgia, Inc. is to provide therapeutic riding for the physically and mentally challenged. The walking gait of a horse simulates the movement of a person when they are walking on healthy legs. Therapeutic riding gives children and adults the ability to explore and improve their physical and mental abilities, creates independence and freedom, and promotes a sense of accomplishment that might not be duplicated in traditional therapy settings.

Founded by NARHA-certified instructor Stacey Edwards, Special Equestrians of Georgia, Inc. is a non-profit organization working with physically and mentally challenged children and adults in the Metro Atlanta area.
