Growth at SEG

2020 Capital Campaign

Special Equestrians of Georgia is in the planning stages of their 2020 Capital Campaign. This campaign will be critical in the coming year to make sure our current and future riders and their families are served within a safe, secure and consistent program that maximizes their growth and development, while keeping our organization and animals healthy and fit.

This organization has been serving the special needs community for over 14 years.  We have partnered with the City of Milton for many outreach events and festivals.  The sole purpose is to serve the special needs community by providing a unique, equine assisted experience.  The mission also involves support for the families of these precious children with their many challenges.

Our goal is to raise $250,000 by the end of 2021. This funding will go to capital improvements like a cover for our arena, equipment to run the farm and much needed repairs.  We also will use these funds to expand our services with new therapists, new programs for other groups (such as veterans) and provide for sustainable programs for those who cannot afford our therapies.

We have had several companies help us so far this year with in-kind gifts and cash donations. Recently we were surprised by a huge outpouring of support by the local neighborhood providing services and donations.  We were also honored by a generous gift from a local family foundation in August.

Our continuing mission is to provide a nurturing therapeutic environment of equine-assisted activities to help individuals facing physical, emotional, and mental challenges.  We pursue our mission with the values of:

● empowering all types of riders to reach their full potential, and

● providing a supportive and safe environment for riders, staff, volunteers and equines

We accomplish this through therapeutic riding lessons, hippotherapy, equine-assisted vocational training, community outreach and love.
